New people are everywhere - except in your living room! You find new people every time you go to the supermarket, bank, dry cleaners, the park, the doctor's office, the coffee shop, etc.
Perhaps a better question to ask is "Where do I meet the right people?"
If you looking for someone new, your first step has to be to decide what kinds of people you're looking for. There are many pages dedicated to this under "The Plan" in "Being a Man in a Woman's World". But for now, you're going to have to decide who you want to meet.
One of the best ways to meet new people is to look at your own hobbies, (you DO have one or more hobbies don't you????) You will probably find that others enjoy the same things you do. All you have to do is go to where people are doing that same thing. And, you instantly have something in common!
As you go about your day, use the following guidelines to help you focus on new people you may want to meet:
- Be aware of the people around you - both close and distant.
- Don't pre-judge someone simply by their look, manner of dress, etc., you don't know how they "clean up".
- Don't assume that someone is "too beautiful" or "too handsome" to approach - almost all "beautiful" people say that they don't get asked out very much!
- Get yourself "together" - posture, dress, smell, etc., all of these should say "confidence".
- Get comfortable just saying "hello" to and smiling at people you pass.
Lastly, like most things, meeting new people is a numbers game. You're not going to find everyone you meet will be your match. So what? You can nail jelly to a wall if you use enough nails!
